Customizing Your Cat Care
Gathering Information About Your Cat’s Needs
5 Simple Steps
Before we can care for your kitties properly, 5 simple steps will enable us to gather the information we need about you and your cat in order to customize her visits to meet her specific needs.

1) Mini Cat Profile via Phone
We begin by taking a brief background over the phone about your cat and her needs to enable us to match you with your ideal Cat Care Specialist. We take into account your location, medication needs, and the visit schedule your cat requires. Before we hang up, you will be given a complete overview of your purrfect cat sitter, as well as their contact information. We absolutely love and trust each and every one of our sitters and we are sure you’ll feel the same once you meet yours! If we haven’t already done so, we will also email you a list of client references for you to contact.
2) Ideal Sitter Match
With you cat’s mini profile in hand, we’ll call your cat sitter within moments of our conversation with you. We tell her all about your cat, and she will then contact you to arrange a “Meet ‘N Greet” play date meeting. All of our cat sitters are professional, hard working individuals who have a passion for animals. We hire a sitter only after a rigorous process that includes a background check, as well as passing a final “interview” with Rita’s own cats!
3) “Meet ‘N Greet” Play Date
Your cat sitter will call you before the end of the day, usually within a few hours of your initial contact with Cats 90210. You’ll get to know your Cat Care Specialist on the phone and then set up a convenient time to meet face-to-face in your home. This is also when you can give her a tour of all the necessities; location of food, water, litter box, extra litter, scooper, can openers, cat carrier, paper towels, cleaning products, broom, vacuum, cat toys, favorite hiding spots, and whatever else she’ll need to know to care for your kitty properly. You may, at this point, give your sitter a set of keys, or you can schedule a time closer to your departure to do so. (Please note: there is a small fee for key pick up and return appointments.)
4) Service Agreement
After the in-person meeting with your cat sitter, we’ll send you an email to verify your upcoming reservation, along with our standard service agreement for you to review and fill out. This is the place where we gather all your information, including contact numbers, vet information, feeding instructions, medication needs, and any other information we need to have at our fingertips.
5) Confirmation, Invoicing and Payment
You will receive an invoice via email approximately 10 – 14 days before the first day of your sit. Please review the dates to make sure no changes are needed, and remit payment either by mailing a check to the office or by charge card via Paypal (there is a link from the invoice to Paypal).
