Melanie is our lead cat sitter, often sitting for Rita’s cats on the occasions she has to travel. She is a true cat lover, often caring for and feeding the feral cats in her neighborhood. Pearl the kitty and Amy the dog are the current loves of Melanie’s life, and they happily share her with your kitties. In addition to working for us at Cats 90210 Los Angeles Cat Sitting, Melanie also runs an antique jewlery business. Melanie recently added a new kitty, Vincent Van Kitty, to her family. A stray orange tabby with severe ear mites, Vincent was named after Van Gogh, due to his “missing” ear. After many months and much patience as Melanie tended to his wounded ear, she was finally able to coax Vincent to come inside out of the rain during those bad December storms. Vincent has been completely accepted into the household by kitty Pearl and doggie Amy, and can often be seen snoozing by the front window.

Christine is one of our primary sitters. She was born in a small village in the south of England, emigrated with her family and pets in 1976, and is now an American citizen. A pet owner for a very, very long time, she is currently “staff” to a kitty named Saffron Sweetie Darling. She is also master to 2 new dogs, acquired after her German Shephard, Callisto, passed away of cancer. As part of the of Cats 90210 family, Christine loves meeting new cats and their human staff! A sad note to report: at 16-years of age Saffron Sweet Darling passed away suddenly of a heart attack. Our hearts are with Christine as Saffron travels The Rainbow Bridge to frolic with Rita’s sweet Sadie and other furry loved ones who have sadly left us behind.

Cynthia grew up in Minnesota, where she had experience with all kinds of animals, especially cats and dogs. Her very first job was as a veterinary technician at the local Humane Society. She then spent 25 years at the University of Minnesota as Surgery Animal Caretaker and Animal Ward Nurse working at the Veterinary School of Medicine and Teaching Hospital.

Welcome Back to Meg Robles! Meg is one of the original members of our cat loving staff, and was with us until she left to open Pink Iron “Ladies Only” gym. She rejoined our staff over the Christmas Holiday season because she missed us and all the kitties! Meg has been a cat lover all her life, and was just 8-years-old when she brought home her first beloved kitten. Friskey lived to the ripe old age of 19. Meg has been pet sitting since high school, making sure that her “furry friends” got all the love and attention that they deserved while their “parents” were away. Two years ago, Meg’s friends rescued an abandoned kitty who was found sitting in the middle of Venice Boulevard. They took the kitten to Meg at Pink Iron. Nobody was surprised when the tiny gray and white “ball of fluff” she named Desti became a permanent residence in Meg’s lap and home. Now Desti is spoiled rotten and is living the good life.

Emma has been in love with cats as long as she can remember. Born and raised in Denmark to a Norwegian mother and a Danish father, Emma remembers constantly asking her mother when she could have a cat. Finally when Emma was 8 years old, her mother gave her a cat who became the love of her life, Frede whose nickname was Nunni. The beautiful big black and white cat was shy but incredibly wise. Frede became Emma’s life companion and teacher, and he lived a long life of 16 years. When he passed away, it left Emma heartbroken. Even now, 6 years later, she still misses him very much and she thinks of him daily. Emma is known to talk to all of the cats she meets on streets. She knows to be gentle and approach every cat with great attention and patience.
When she’s not working with Cats 90210, Emma sings in a wedding band. She spent many years singing and performing in Copenhagen, and has also performed in LA since relocating here in 2007.
